Chris Anderson, Family Minister

Chris Anderson, along with his wife, Michelle, joined Journey Church as the Minister to Families in 2012.  His passion and driving force in ministering to our church is to see children, students and parents changed by the love and mercy of God through the message of the grace and forgiveness that was made available through His son, Jesus Christ.  While following in obedience God opened doors to receive an education in Religious Studies with special emphasis in Youth Ministry at Gwinnett Hall Baptist College.  Chris is excited to teach, organize and advise the various programs and events that make up our Family Ministries at Journey Church.  He strives to do so to bring honor and glory to God the Father.

Chris and Michelle married in December of 1993.  He considers her an asset to his ministry.  They have two daughters – Kaleigh, 17 and Madison, 16.  Chris attempts to live his life based on Romans 12:1-2, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is…his good, pleasing and perfect will”.  This passage is also his ministry vision for our families at Journey Church.

Heera Singh, Staff Missionary

Heera is the founder of Grace Ministries, NE India. He and his wife Margaret, were married on October 9, 2005 and are blessed with a son Mishael Singh.

Heera is from India which is the second most populous country in the world.  It has over 1.2 billion people where 330 million gods are worshiped by more than two thousand ethnic people groups.  Heera was one of the people group among them.  He was born and brought up from a very poor, orthodox Hindu family in the state of Manipur, NE India. He never thought in his lifetime that one day he would be a Christian, much less become a missionary.  But God had a special plan for his life in that He changed his life at the age of 16 where he had the privilege to hear the gospel.  The Holy Spirit convicted him that he was a sinner and was lost and did not know the only one and true living God. On December 31, 1997 at midnight, after the New Year Eve Service, he sincerely prayed the sinner’s prayer and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord.

Ever since then,  Heera’s life has been transformed by the blood of Jesus Christ. He dedicated his life to serve Him faithfully and obediently till his last breath. A graduate from Emmanuel Bible College & Seminary, Kota (Raj) on 2001,  he completed Pastor and Leadership Training from RHEMA in 2000, New Delhi and 2002, Goa. He has experienced the call of God for the ministry and has committed to reach out to share the gospel with those that are dying without knowing the living God. Heera has been serving the Lord for the last ten years in North India, North East and the Himalayan region.

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentiles."  Romans 1:16
