Demographic
Studies That Support A New Church
Within ten minutes of the targeted
areas of Jackson and Hall County, approximately twenty churches of various
denominations are currently in existence. Within the targeted area, there is a
population of 13,243 people (2010 SF1 U.S. Census Data). Of those 13,243 people; it is estimated that 7,946 are unchurched, 9,270 are lost, and 10,594 are not in
weekend worship (Bryan Nowak, from the Research Services of the Georgia Baptist
Convention). This reveals that in our targeted area, only an estimated 20% of
the residents are affiliated with an evangelical church. In other words, 80% of
those in our targeted are not connected with a church that believes that the
Bible is the authoritative Word of God.
